Signal and System Analysis
For Test 1 the students are expected to be able to:
- Understand and be able to apply the special functions, including impulse and pulse function-rect(t)
- Describe continuous and discrete signals in the time (including complex signals)
- Describe continuous and discrete systems in the time: impulse response
- Classify signals: periodic, aperiodic, power signals, energy signals
- Calculate signal power
- Calculate signal energy
- Classify continuous and discrete systems: linear/nonlinear, causal/non-causal, time-invariant/time-varying, dynamic/memoryless
- Determine the stability of continuous and discrete systems
- Perform continuous and discrete time convolution
- Determine the time characteristics of cascaded systems
