Homework: |
Homework will be assigned on a weekly basis according to the
schedule on the website. A subset of the problems assigned will be
graded. Problems will be graded based on the justification for the
solution as well the solution itself. Solutions given with little or no
justification may receive little or no credit. Your lowest 2 homework
scores will be dropped. |
Quizzes: |
There will be a quiz covering the material from the previous week
every Friday. In addition, there will be a pop-quiz whenever more than
1/3 of the class is absent. Your lowest 2 quiz scores will be
dropped. |
Exams: |
There will be 3 exams and a final. Exams will consist of an
in-class portion and a take-home portion. The in-class portions will be
given during the regular lecture hour on Feb. 7, Mar. 14, and Apr. 11.
The take-home portion will be distributed during the in-class exam and
will be due on the following Monday. Your lowest exam score will be
replaced by your score on the final if it is greater. |
