I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the University of Kansas, USA. Previously, I have held a research faculty position at Vanderbilt University, USA, and was a postdoctoral reseacher at ENS de Lyon, INRIA (Rhône-Alpes), and IRIT (Toulouse), France. I obtained my Ph.D. in Computer Science from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
My research interests are in the broad area of high-performance computing (HPC), cloud/edge computing, and computational data science, with a particular focus on enhancing the performance, reliability, resilience, and energy/thermal efficiency of large-scale computing systems and applications. I am also interested in interdisciplinary research, including the application of algorithmic and optimization techniques to solve computational and data science problems that arise from different scientific fields, as well as the intersection of Machine Learning (ML) and HPC. The goal of my research is to advance next-generation computing and software infrastructures through scalable algorithm design, resource management, performance modeling, optimization, and applied machine learning.
